I have studied so many entrepreneurs over the years. The ones I was most interested in - most obviously - are the 7 figure entrepreneurs of this world. They all seem to have one thing in common & that’s why I find it detrimental to talk about it!
Habits. Creating successful habits into your (work) life.
"The key to sustaining positive change is to turn each desired action into a habit."
What’s a habit?
A habit is something you do everyday and is so much of a routine that you don’t even notice you’re doing it. It becomes who you are as a person. This means that you have the power to change yourself, which is so powerful.
Studies suggest that it takes 21 days to establish a habit.
How do you establish a successful habit?
The process I find the easiest to understand is called the three r’s: reminder, routine, reward.
You want to find a daily task that you already do every day and set this as your ‘reminder’ to do your new habit, your ‘routine’.
My example:
Drinking a glass of water is my reminder to start meditation, which is my new routine.
Celebrate that you done your new daily habit, how do you feel? - reward
When you decide to establish a new habit, make sure it is something you believe in, something that you really want to better yourself at. Don’t just copy someone else's routine but ask yourself ‘What would work for me?’
If you want to start adding habits to your life, don’t start with 10, choose 1, 2 or 3. Otherwise it’s too overwhelming and probably won’t be so successful. Once you’ve established habits and they are part of your everyday life, you can then add more habits.
Most importantly - evaluate who you want to be and what you currently don’t like and set your habits based on that. Then use the system of reminder, routine, reward to get yourself through it.
What is one thing you would like to add to your daily routine?
I attribute a lot of my success to surrounding myself with like-minded people. Seeing other entrepreneurs live the life I wanted to be living, lifting each other up, passing on tips and tricks along the way. That’s why I knew I needed to create my own community of kickass entrepreneurs. Stop playing small & join over 1,500 entrepreneurs that are ready to scale beyond $100,000 in revenue.
