Why You Should Think About Starting Your Own Community Online

I have been there! I talked about how to grow your Facebook Group, how to nurture your community… but I never talked about WHY it is important to even start your own community!

Somehow I missed starting at square one. So here we go! In the video I quickly explain all the great reasons on why to start YOUR own community online and why you shouldn’t wait with this!

Below I also summarized the key points.

Key points:

  • To be seen as a leader/expert

  • Share your knowledge and provide value

  • Build the know, like & trust factor

  • Sell your products/services

Cold lead vs. Warm lead

A community is a great place to gain lots of warm leads, as people in your community can slowly get to know you,  trust you and understand what you can do to help them.

A community could be anywhere and doesn’t have to be a Facebook group  - it could be Instagram, Twitter, a podcast, YouTube channel

Choose your place of where to build your community depending on where your ideal client hangs out. Then get super visible right in front of your ideal clients, so it’s hard for them to miss you!

On top of the community of your choice, also start building an email list (you own your list, you don’t own your community - imagine Facebook groups would vanish!).

Nobody was born a leader with a community (everyone started at 0!)- but they kept showing up everyday, they didn’t give up. Consistency is what grew their community. SHOW UP! Be authentic! Even if you’re not having a good day, tell your community that.

"In the beginning stages of your expert career you won’t be good and that’s ok. No matter what you do in the beginning it’s going to suck because you suck. But you’ll get better and you’ll suck less and as you keep doing this, eventually you’ll suck so little you’ll actually be good, but you can’t get good unless you start now. They say the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, but the second best time is right now, so lets get started." - Expert Secrets book by Russell Brunson, founder of Clickfunnels.

Now is the perfect time to start!

Have you started building your community?

I attribute a lot of my success to surrounding myself with like-minded people. Seeing other entrepreneurs live the life I wanted to be living, lifting each other up, passing on tips and tricks along the way. That’s why I knew I needed to create my own community of kickass entrepreneurs. Stop playing small & join over 1,500 entrepreneurs that are ready to scale beyond $100,000 in revenue.
